WaterFire Honors Dr. Joseph Chazan at 6th Annual FireBall Gala

FireBall Spread Love City

WaterFire Providence had the privilege to honor Dr. Joseph A. Chazan for his extraordinary support of Rhode Island artists and arts organizations over the past 50 years at our 6th Annual FireBall Gala. On October 20, 2022 the WaterFire Arts Center was filled with community members, stakeholders, and revelers for the FireBall: Spread Love City event that was produced in association with stay silent PVD.

“WaterFire is the essential Providence cultural and community experience. Now the WaterFire Arts Center has become a fantastic venue for visual and performance arts, serving as a beacon for the city’s multicultural life. It was as humbling to be honored by WaterFire at the 2022 FireBall as it was gratifying for me to support the event. I encourage everyone to join in celebrating and contributing to this organization.”

—Joseph A. Chazan, MD

This year’s FireBall featured performances Cam Bells and the International Soul Brothers, Nino Francis, DJ sets by DJ Slick Vick, DJ Lefty, & WHERE’S NASTY, a cityscape of interactive activations, inflatable artwork by Pneuhaus, living trees from Ten31 Productions, LED poi performances by Gold Arrow LLC, and so much more. One highlight of the evening was a video produced by Richard Goullis highlighting Dr. Chazan’s support of Rhode Island’s artists and arts organizations over the years.
