2022 TroopTop Thursday Nights:  April 21, May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18

TroopTop Thursdays in partnership with TroopPVD (@trooppvd) are back at the WaterFire Arts Center! Every third Thursday of the month from April to August visitors are invited to experience the current exhibit as the sun sets on the TroopTop Deck starting at 5:00 p.m and concluding at 9:00 p.m. The event is rain-or-shine, (we’ll move inside if it rains), and guests can expect a rotating selection of local beer, wine, and spirits at the bar as well as a new “Bacon & Booze Bar” and a “Gorilla Bar Menu” provided by Troop.  Some vendors guests will be able to choose from include, Revival Brewing Company , Anchor & Hope, The Industrious Spirits Company, Yacht Club Soda, and Granny Squibbs.

TroopTop Thursdays will coincide with Gallery Night Providence’s (GNP) tours (@gallerynightprovidence) that visit select galleries throughout the city. Visitors can take one trolley tour from the WFAC or select from other tours at the GNP hub in Downtown Providence, the Graduate Providence.

The first TroopTop Thursday will be in partnership with Millennial Rhode Island (@millennialri) to host a “Space and Chill Spring Social” networking event for young professionals across Rhode Island. On Thursday, April 21 the rooftop bar will move inside the Main Hall under a 23-foot sculpture of the Earth, the featured piece in the WFAC’s latest exhibition, Planet Earth, The Environment and Our Future. The networking portion will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $10 on EventBrite, the first 50 signups will receive a drink on the house.

We are excited to be partnering with such an iconic Rhode Island brand to bring another networking social to TroopTop Thursdays. As we navigate our way out of the pandemic, it is important that we continue to create fun and engaging in-person events for young professionals to connect and keep supporting the Ocean State.

Each TroopTop event will be commemorated with a collectible, limited edition poster designed by a different local artist each month. The posters will be given as door prizes to the first guests of the night. Our first two posters will be designed by Accelerate Artists Jared Winslow and Kiara Costa

Free parking for visitors is available at the WaterFire Arts Center.
