COVID-19 Guidance for WaterFire Lightings

WaterFire Providence, in close cooperation with the Rhode Island Department of Health, requests all visitors, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, wear masks while attending the WaterFire event.

Please remain aware of your surroundings and keep a safe distance from anyone outside your family/pod. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and get tested as soon as possible. Visit the RIDOH website for additional COVID-19 testing and vaccine information.

Re-Opening RI Phase III Status Update

Due to the CORONAVIRUS pandemic, most events at the WaterFire Arts Center have been postponed.

The WaterFire Store at the WaterFire Arts Center and our Visitor Center Gallery are open for select hours during Rhode Island Re-Opening Phase III. Call for hours (401) 443-5553.

Decameron, Providence runs August 9 – 22 at the WaterFire Arts Center and American Locomotive Works Campus. Learn more and purchase tickets.

2020 Internship Program & COVID-19 Impact

WaterFire is following the guidelines of the CDC and the RI state governor in regard to the COVID-19 virus. We are still developing plans for the 2020 WaterFire season and events at the WaterFire Arts Center. Therefore we are still accepting applications for the 2020 internship program and will continue to do so until further notice.
