I am confused. It looks like the downtown hotels are more than a mile from the northern end of the waterfire venues. For people in their seventies and eighties that would be quite a shlep after an evening of walking, especially as it would be night in a strange city. Is there any type of shuttle service or reliable car service? All facilities near the event are sold out at least for the first two October full fire events
Most downtown hotels are within walking distance of the event site. The “Marriot Providence Downtown” is on the far north side of downtown. The name is slightly confusing. It’s still walkable, but a little bit removed.
