WaterFire Providence announces the return of TroopTop Thursdays at the WaterFire Arts Center (WFAC) in partnership with Troop PVD and supported by Brady Sullivan Properties and the US Rubber Lofts, Cross Insurance, and Boston Document Systems. Beginning June 13, 2024, TroopTop will return weekly through August 29, 2024, except for July 4 and July 25. These summer Thursday evenings will showcase art experiences and live music as well as cocktails in support of local non-profit organizations highlighted each week. Programming for each evening is presented by Little Guy At The Gig.
Visitors are invited to experience the current exhibition as well as sunsets on the ‘TroopTop’ deck starting at 5:00 p.m. and concluding at 9:00 p.m. The event is rain-or-shine (we’ll move inside if it rains). Guests can expect snacks provided by UNFI Cafe PVD and a rotating selection of local craft beer, wine, and spirits at the bar. Each night the featured non-profit will receive a portion of the profits from Troop’s special cocktail, in 2023 TroopTop raised over $1300 for local non-profits.

About the author
Over the last 10+ years, alongside some incredible co-workers and volunteers, I've worked to build the organization that WaterFire Providence is today. As Director of Creative Services, my team and I work on visual communications, graphic design, the visitor experience, merchandising as well as project management for programming at the WaterFire Arts Center. Being a part of the 'Rhode Island' experience for tens of thousands of people is incredible and I have an intense pride in place for both Downtown Providence and the Valley neighborhood.
