Gelli Printing Workshop

This is a beginner’s workshop on Gelli Printing where participants will learn how to make one-off monotype prints with gelatin plates. Our instructor, Sky Tanner, will guide participants through the process and then allow individuals to create monotype prints at their own pace. This process is easy and simple to learn for any age group or skill level.

Monotype printmaking is a quick and simple process. Gelli printing is a unique printmaking process, typically painterly in its execution, made by applying paint or printing ink to a flat sheet of metal, glass, or plastic.

Lean into this expressive, collage-like process where no mistakes can happen! Participants will leave the workshop with 2-5 prints that they created.

Introducing ArtLab@WaterFire: Creative Labs

WaterFire Providence is excited to launch a new series of weekend family art workshops at the WaterFire Arts Center called ArtLab@WaterFire: Creative Labs. We are inviting families of all ages to ignite their creativity and experience the magic of making art together. ArtLab@WaterFire: Creative Labs workshops are provided through collaborations with the WaterFire Accelerate and ArtLab@WaterFire Programs. These workshops will provide a fun immersive experience where our talented instructors will guide you through specific art forms. We welcome anyone who has an interest in artistic expression regardless of age or level of skill set. For the Fall/Winter season, we will be providing a selection of printmaking, jewelry-making, and knitting workshops that are at no cost to you!
