The office workspaces at the art center are coming together! Finishing touches like the hanging task lighting and desk work surfaces are hung, with just a few units of shelving still remaining. I can’t wait to show you what the office looks like with its final lighting treatments. Already there is a great deal of natural light but the addition of the overhead units will really unify the feel of the space from the windows in.
What you see in the photograph of the main hall are half a dozen people who are discussing the museum store at the WaterFire Arts Center. The final design could incorporate interactive displays, full-time greeter staff, and there is even the possibility of outside vendors contributing to the experience! Looking at that photo it is amazing to see the scale of the space that we have brought back to life. The final designs of the WaterFIre Arts Center can hold thousands of people, and elements like the exposed staircase really speak to that proportion.
