Join WaterFire Providence for another Starts At Sunset, a community gathering on the Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Pedestrian Bridge part of the Illuminate PVD NYE Celebration supported by the Providence Tourism Council (PTC) happening on December 31, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

- 5:00 pm – Food trucks, music, artists and roaming entertainment
- 7:00 pm – WaterFire lighting and art activation
- 8:30 pm – Illuminate PVD Fireworks show
Ring in the new year in 195 District Park, where festivities will illuminate the night from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be a mix of experiential tents with interactive art activations, music, and roaming entertainment promising enjoyment for all ages. A mix of food trucks and The Guild will be on hand, serving beverages to the 21+ crowd.
There will be a lighting of WaterFire’s braziers surrounding the pedestrian bridge, starting at 7:00 p.m., setting the stage for the Providence Tourism Council’s Illuminate PVD Fireworks show at 8:30 p.m. sharp! The surrounding park area and The Michael Van Leesten Pedestrian Bridge offers the perfect vantage point of the fireworks on the Providence River.
