Linocut Printmaking (Holiday Wooden Ornaments) Workshop

This is a beginners printmaking workshop in which students will learn about relief prints, a form of printmaking which involves carving out an image to then be printed.

The theme for this workshop is Holiday Wonderland where participants will carve out a holiday-themed block of their choosing and then create prints to be printed on wooden ornaments!

We will provide the materials and guide you through a step by step process of the artform. This beginners workshop will use soft linoleum rubber blocks, carving tools, and ink + paper and will focus on the basic steps of this artform. The students will be able to take their 3-5 prints home.

The workshop is free and open to all but space is limited.

Introducing ArtLab@WaterFire: Creative Labs

WaterFire Providence is excited to launch a new series of weekend family art workshops at the WaterFire Arts Center called ArtLab@WaterFire: Creative Labs. We are inviting families of all ages to ignite their creativity and experience the magic of making art together. ArtLab@WaterFire: Creative Labs workshops are provided through collaborations with the WaterFire Accelerate and ArtLab@WaterFire Programs. These workshops will provide a fun immersive experience where our talented instructors will guide you through specific art forms. We welcome anyone who has an interest in artistic expression regardless of age or level of skill set. For the Fall/Winter season, we will be providing a selection of printmaking, jewelry-making, and knitting workshops that are at no cost to you!
