Thanks to everyone who submitted their films to our 15 Seconds of Flame Film Fest. We had a lot of fun submissions from our August 10th Lighting. After reviewing all of the submissions we decided that the film “Falling at WaterFire” was this week’s staff pick; congrats to @Donovan, your funny and creative film made us all laugh.
The film with the most likes was “I ❤ the sound of crackling fire” by @nortstarglam.
We’ll be nominating more submissions every week through the end of our season in November. Submit your films on Vine or Instagram using #waterfirefilmfest. All nominated films will win a free film fest t-shirt and are eligible for awards at our planned awards ceremony to be held at the end of the WaterFire season. I've worked at WaterFire Providence since 2003. For the first 9 years of my career, I worked in the Production Shop learning all of the details that go into the physical production of the event. In 2012 transitioned to the role of managing WaterFire's social media and web presence. I now head up WaterFire Providence's digital projects including, web, social, databases, and our physical IT infrastructure.
