Earth Day - Let's Clean Up the Providence River
Event Details
Event Details
Ready to help us pull treasures out from the deep? Join us to remove all the bikes, scooters, and other items from the rivers of Providence. We’ll be on the woodboats of WaterFire to remove these items to help clean up the rivers. We’ll also be scooping debris from the rivers, and if you are feeling adventurous possibly using waders to get into the shallower ends.
You will probably get getting wet and dirty. So please wear appropriate clothing. We’ll have some latex gloves on site.
WaterFire Volunteer Attire:
- Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
- Closed-toe shoes – protect your feet from debris
- Woodworking gloves – WaterFire will provide gloves if you do not have a pair
- Suggestion: Protective eyewear, waterproof cell phone pouch, no large personal items, and weather-appropriate clothing
