Clear Currents is a WaterFire evening where we invite individuals to paddle on the river with their canoes and kayaks during the lighting (it’s not too late to sign up for this year’s event)!
Each year participants attach an illuminated koi fish to their vessels to help us light up the night. This year we conducted a t-shirt design contest in order to create a t-shirt for our Clear Currents event. We want to thank everyone who submitted designs to our contest and congratulate our winner, Erin Fan! Her winning design will be printed on this year’s Clear Currents shirt, the shirts are given to all of our paddling participants and will also be available for sale at our Merchandise Store at the event and online.
Having recently graduated from Brandeis University with a B.S. in Biology and Computer Science, Erin is, hilariously enough, not working in those fields. A high school math teacher by day and gamer by night, Erin continues to pursue her passion in graphic arts as a freelance designer during school breaks and every minute of free time she finds. She is very excited to have her little project chosen as the winning t-shirt design for WaterFire this year, and is now more motivated than ever to keep designing! You can check out some of her recent work on her website.
In the gallery below you can see all of the submissions for the 2015 Clear Currents T-Shirt design contest. Thank you again to everyone who submitted a design!
