WaterFire Providence announces a full lighting this Saturday, June 25 supported by Cox Business and Bank of America. The lighting will begin at 8:25 pm and the braziers will remain lit until midnight.

For years, WaterFire has attracted a diverse audience from near and far, and we look forward to celebrating with a full lighting on June 25th. The WaterFire Arts Festival Plaza kicks off Washington Street and Steeple Street from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM where visitors can browse and shop from a variety of local artists and makers in mediums such as glass, photography, jewelry, and more. This outdoor artisan fair will showcase some of the great artwork created in Rhode Island and offer visitors the opportunity to support the local arts economy by purchasing work by Rhode Island-based artists. WaterFire Accelerate Artists will have their artwork displayed for purchase on Steeple Street. 

Artists/makers will include: Recycled Silverware, jewelry; Celeste Diaz Falcone, prints/collage/clothing; The Dapper Flapper, vintage-inspired Handcrafted hats & clothing; Paw Prints Pet Art, pet Illustration; Stone Soup, paintings; Moonlight Jewelry, resin jewelry; Casted by T, cast unique and custom objects; Henna by Heather, henna; Astr Noir, clothing; Design What Have You, gender-neutral concrete & acrylic jewelry; Browning Art, original acrylic paintings & cards; Jules Sharpe Art, painting and illustration; SeaWeaves by Roze Malone, wire wrapped sea glass art; Into The Woods, wood home decor; The Junk Drawer, upcycled, vintage toy jewelry; and Sam Cloutier Art, screenprinting/sign making.

WaterFire Marketplace will return to Canal Street, stop by to support WaterFire with a donation or a purchase of locally designed apparel, glassware, books, and gifts. Make a quick and easy donation with DipJar, pin where you are from on Map Center’s maps, and watch glass blowing by Gather Glass.

Andrew Anselmo, Origami Master will be hanging out all night at Market Square and visitors can find A Silent Soapbox living statue at the bottom of Washington Street Bridge and Canal Walk starting at sunset. The living statues from Ten31 Productions will make their 2022 season debut in Memorial Park at the base of the World War memorial from 7:30 – 10:30 pm.

The Brazier Society will be located in its usual home in Market Square. This year’s Official Brazier Society Sponsors are Fire Works Catering, McLaughlin & Moran, Anchor & Hope Wine, and Golden Gate Studios

The Starry, Starry Night installation returns to Memorial Park near the Crawford Street Bridge; add your light to the night by wishing on a star or dedicate a luminaria candle lantern.

Food fairs will be open on Washington Street. Enjoy local food from festival favorites: Saugy’s, Sweet Smokin’ Pits, Kettle Korn Express, Red’s Street Kitchen, Nanu Burmese Fusion, Caribbean Delights Ja’ Patty, and One2Taconmore. Additional vendors will be located on College Street including Madonna Rosario Society. 

Trinity Beer Garden will be on the corner of Steeple Street and Canal Street.

Catch three fire spinning performances beginning at 8:24 PM and continuing at 9:45 PM  and 10:45 PM by Cirque de Light.
