Come to the gallery for a printmaking experience with Elliot Morgan on Saturday, February 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Elliot’s monotype prints represent this printmaking process in Demystifying Process: A PVDPrintmakers Exhibition, the Jan-Feb 2023 exhibition in the WaterFire Arts Center gallery.
Learn more about the monotype printmaking process through demonstrations, a bit of history, and make a print yourself.
Monotype printmaking is a unique single copy print in which the artist prints from ink directly applied to the printing plate, often creating a soft, painterly look.
Elliot Morgan graduated Rhode Island College in 2020 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts. Taking up printmaking as a concentration, they focused on monotypes and woodcuts. Elliot mainly works in pastel, gouache, ink, and continues printmaking (to THIS day).
