Event Details
The WaterFire Arts Center (WFAC) is featuring a new art exhibit and opening up #TroopTop, a roof deck bar, on Thursday, August 18 from 5pm to 9pm.
This month Rhodium Vodka will be doing free vodka and gin tastings and as always WFAC neighbors at Troop PVD will be behind the bar serving up locally crafted beverages and good vibes. Local artist, KStar (@kstarstudios5) will be on the roof deck doing live portrait drawing all night, stop by and purchase a mini-portrait. ‘Troop’Top Thursdays now feature yard games, including cornhole, giant Jenga, and Connect4, and an Instagram polaroid studio.
Meet the artist behind the current exhibit, Ebb and Flow, a month-long solo exhibition by Lois Harada. Explore work from Lois’ ongoing campaign to encourage Rhode Island residents to rethink the naming of Victory Day. The exhibition is on view in the WaterFire Arts Center gallery from Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 28, 2022.
The WFAC partners with TroopPVD and Gallery Night Providence to give visitors a unique summer night experience. The rooftop bar, TroopTop, is open from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Gallery Night Providence gives you an opportunity to experience artwork and meet artists in various galleries and museums all throughout the city.
One of the trolley tours will be leaving from the WFAC @ 6:30 pm and getting back around 8:30 pm. The tour will be going to four different locations: (1) The Gallery at Sprout CoWorking Providence, (2) Avenue Concept Murals including “Hope” and “Derailed,” (3) Studio Hop, and (4) WaterFire Arts Center.
