Kate Bramson Joins the WaterFire Providence Board of Directors
WaterFire Providence announces the addition of Kate Bramson to the WaterFire Providence Board of Directors, effective February of 2023. Bramson is the associate director in the Office of Deputy Dean Megan L. Ranney at Brown University’s School of Public Health, where she has worked since June 2022 to advance the school’s academic priorities. She has lived and worked in Rhode Island for two decades and has transitioned into public policy after an award-winning journalism career that included stints in France, Hungary, and Duluth, Minnesota.

The WaterFire Arts Center (WFAC), a multi-use arts venue, located at 475 Valley Street in Providence, RI, is pleased to announce Vigilance, a month-long solo exhibition by Scott Lapham. On view in the WaterFire Arts Center gallery from Thursday, March 2 through Sunday, March 26, 2023. A public opening is scheduled for Thursday, March 2, from 5-9 pm.

WaterFire Providence announces a special pre-season partial lighting in Memorial Park on Saturday, April 1, 2023 sponsored by United Way of Rhode Island in celebration of their annual 401Gives campaign. The lighting will begin after sunset (7:10 p.m.) and the braziers will remain lit until 9:30 p.m.

WaterFire Providence announces a partnership between Innovation Studio Inc. and WaterFire Providence as an addition to WaterFire’s year-long professional development program for artists 18-30, Accelerate. Accelerate cohort members will be able to utilize several of Innovation Studio’s programs during their 12 months with WaterFire, including one-on-one business consultations through their Entrepreneurship Navigation program and early acceptance into their startup programs Inspire, Create, and Share.

WaterFire Providence announces that Grechel Rosado has joined the organization as its first Program Coordinator. Grechel’s primary responsibilities include managing [email protected], a year-long paid internship and leadership development program for BIPOC male high school students and WaterFire Accelerate, a year-long professional development program for artists under 30.
