John is the Vice President of Public Affairs for Fidelity Investments. He is responsible for managing Fidelity’s government affairs, public policy, community relations and volunteerism efforts in Rhode Island and New Jersey.
He is a member of the Boards of the RISD Art Museum, the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and WaterFire Providence. He is also a member of the Providence College President’s Council, is on the Advisory Board of the Bryant University School of Business and is a Trustee of the Providence Foundation.
John was the former Chairman of the Board of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, a former trustee of the Preservation Society of Newport County, and a former board member and chair of the strategic planning committee of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
Prior to his work in Rhode Island, John was a vice president in corporate real estate at Fidelity’s Midwest regional center located in Covington, Kentucky where he was responsible for managing all aspects of Fidelity’s real estate portfolio. In addition to his time in Kentucky, John has worked for Fidelity in Boston and Marlborough, Massachusetts over his 28-year tenure with the firm.
He is also a partner in BrewGene, a mobile application for beer drinkers which currently has over 80,000 users.
John grew up in Massachusetts and received an engineering degree from MIT.
