5:30PM - 6:30PM Walking Tour of Historical Providence presented by the RI Historical Society. Tour starts at the John Brown House at 52 Power Street. Tickets are $10/person. Reservations are strongly encouraged at 401.273.7507 x62 or bbarnes@rihs.org
7:00PM - 10:30PM WaterFire Merchandise Sales Table opens at the RISD auditorium for the night. Purchase WaterFire merchandise and help keep the fires burning! A new addition tonight are the special porcelain origami cranes!
8:24PM - 12:15AM Sunset and the beginning of the music program. Please pick up a complete music program listing from a WaterFire ambassador in the park at the illuminated blue balloon sculptures. (Please make a donation to keep the fires burning!)
8:30PM - 11:00PM Spogga, the WaterFire Fire Dancer, will be performing throughout the park. Spogga has just released his new DVD featuring his music and his fire performances at WaterFire.
8:40PM-11:00PM Discover the Gargoyles at the WWI monument near College Street and South Main Street. The Gargoyles are the creation of Ten31 Productions in Providence.
8:30PM - 11:00PM Michael Grando, the noted master mime, will portray Pierrot (Pedrolino) from the Commedia del’arte, in his naive and everlasting quest to win the heart of the beautiful girl. Pierrot will be tossing hundreds of long-stem carnations to the crowd from a boat during the evening. Each flower is accompanied by a different quote that illuminates the connections between art and life.

Part of the prestigious USA Cycling National Racing Calendar (NRC), this event features some of the best cyclists from around the globe, including world and national champions, and is a thrill to experience! Held on a one-mile course along the Providence riverfront, with the start/finish line on South Main Street, this exciting event showcases 150 professional cyclists racing shoulder-to-shoulder at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour as they complete 50 laps in a spectacular display of speed, teamwork and strategy. Come watch some of the world’s finest athletes race up the grueling climb of College Hill, followed by a thrilling high-speed descent back to the riverfront. The 150 racers drafting, bumping, and cornering in a whirling, colorful display of speed is an experience not to be missed! And with a "WaterFire" event following the racing action, be sure to mark, Saturday June 28th on your calendar as one of the highlights of the summer season.
