    1. Hi Sandy, we don’t have all of the event dates for this season nailed down yet. I can tell you that the PVD International Arts Festival will be taking place from June 2nd – 5th and there will be a WaterFire to go with it on Saturday the 4th. This will be just about the busiest weekend in Providence for arts, music, parades, etc. Definitely not something to miss. Our full schedule will be published in April. Hope you can make it!

  2. Our family is hoping your schedule includes June 11 2016 for a waterfire. We are having our daughter’s wedding downtown and are having guests from all over the country. This would make everyone coming love Providence, Rhode Island. Fingers crossed

  3. We are visiting from CT on April 1st through the 3rd. It is a celebration for my daughter Heather who has Down Syndrome. She will 30 years old and would love to experience Waterfire. Thank you☺️

    1. Hi Christina, sorry to say it, but we’re not going to have a lighting that weekend. Although we do have this Slam Dunk WaterFire coming up next next week our season typically does not begin until the end of May. Hopefully you’ll have another chance to come up and visit us again later in the summer. Look for our schedule to be published in mid-April.

    1. No, we don’t really get the opportunity to reschedule these events. WaterFire lightings are rarely cancelled, there is too much planning and momentum behind each event to change the schedule for weather. Hurricanes, torrential downpours, dangerous blizzards have squashed events in the past, but Friday’s forecast is looking like a few rain showers at most. Should be a pretty decent night.

  4. Waterfire has been my happy place for over fifteen years. I can’t wait for this year’s season to begin. Thank you for all you do.

    1. Hey Jim, the schedule is coming in the next few weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience, we know a lot of people are waiting and we’re pushing things through as best as we can right now. There are a lot of balls being juggled and we’re trying to make sure none of them get dropped. Thanks for your support and patience.

        1. Hi Karen, there are no event scheduled this week. Our next lightings will be in May. Look for our 2016 season schedule to be release within then next couple of weeks.

  5. Still cannot find the schedule for this summer, am I missing it, or is it not out yet. Trying to make plans????

  6. Hi Tim,

I am planing on visiting on May 28th for the full lighting, I looked up a few hotels but I am not sure if they are close to the show.
Can you suggest a few hotels that I can price out that are within walking distance of the lighting?

    Thank you in advance,
    Nick

    1. The Renaissance, Courtyard Marriott, Hilton Providence, Hampton Inn, Hotel Providence, and Omni Providence hotels are all within walking distance of the event. The Marriott Providence Downtown (not technically downtown) is also close by. See https://waterfire.org/visit for a map and more details.
