Hi! My name is Andrew, but everyone calls me Andy. I have been with WaterFire full time for two years, but I started as an intern and then moved on to event day staff. As a Media Producer, I am responsible for the video documentation of our events, making videos around the office and for other aspects of WaterFire, the creation of radio and television public service announcements regarding our events, the re-mastering and recording of music for our events, and much more. On event days I set up some parts of the Waterplace park audio system, with the incredible WaterFire production staff.
I love the artistic installation of WaterFire. Some of my best memories have taken place in front of campfires, bringing them into the heart of the city is a fantastic way to continue to enjoy them in an urban environment. The work that I am doing constantly expands my skills, and the excitement of our high torque event days is thrilling. I hope that cities all over the world will be able to connect to their primal roots through WaterFire installations. Locally, the people that I work with are some of the best people that I have ever met in my life, and it is a blessing to work with them everyday.
Outside of WaterFire, I am exploring the mountains of New Hampshire nearly every weekend as I try to summit the 48 White Mountain peaks above 4,000 feet. I also monitor the media lab at AS220 and enjoy creating music, writing short stories, and working in the darkroom. Hopefully I will have a radio show again in the near future.
