Fletcher Thomson serves as Associate General Counsel at Textron Inc., a Fortune 500 conglomerate headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, and known globally for brands such as Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft Company, Beechcraft Corporation, E-Z-GO, Greenlee, Jacobsen, Kautex, Lycoming, Textron Systems and Textron Financial Corporation. Mr. Thomson handles a broad range of litigation and transactional matters around the world, with a focus that includes protection of intellectual property rights and indemnification. His international work has included matters in Latin America, Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia.
Prior to joining Textron, Mr. Thomson was in private practice in Connecticut, handling litigation matters in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, as well as transactional matters for various corporate clients. Mr. Thomson has been recognized for his work in the areas of litigation, intellectual property and corporate law, and has served as a speaker and panelist on subjects ranging from trade secret protection to the modern practice of law.
Mr. Thomson holds a B.A. in Government & Law from Lafayette College, a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and an LL.M. from the School of Law, Trinity College, Dublin, in Dublin, Ireland.
Mr. Thomson lives in Rhode Island with his wife, Maraidh, and two children, and enjoys coaching youth sports and fishing.
